The goal of this event is to see Bald Eagles!  Think you know a thing or two about eagles? 
Come test yourself by playing Bald Eagle Jeopardy.  After this short, informative program,
 we will venture out to find eagles around the county.  Binoculars and spotting scopes will be
 available to show details never before seen!  This is a free public program.

woodpecker Workshop: Birdhouse Building
February 23, 2008  Conservation Education Center – Swan Lake State Park – 2-4 p.m.
Come out and build a house for the bird of your choice. 
Choose a house for bluebird, wren, kestrel, wood duck, or screech owl. 
As well as learn where and why to put your house in the best place for your birds. 
You will also be able to take home blueprints for homes of all the other above mentioned birds. 
Materials and tools provided, or bring your own.  Space is limited, registration required.

March 22, 2008 Swan Lake State Park 6-7:30 p.m .Investigate the whiffling of the woodcock,
a strange bird made up of spare parts.  In early spring these birds, often called timberdoodle,
perform a dance at dusk along woodland edges to attract potential mates. 
Experience this natural audio-visual treat up close as you explore the world of this odd bird.
