Ag Scholarship Award

Molly Freese, Madeline Lenz, Grace Tigges, and Hailey Vogl Earn Annual Ag Scholarship
The Carroll Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce two recipients of the Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each.
Molly Freese
Molly Freese, daughter of Justin and Janet Freese, and a Carroll High School senior, will be attending Iowa State University to study Agricultural Communications. Driven by a passion for educating youth and the community about agriculture’s significance, she aspires to continue fostering awareness and advocacy in the field of agriculture. She enjoys engaging and advocating with community members about everything in the industry
    
Madeline Lenz
Madeline Lenz, daughter of Dan and Sara Messerich, and the late Chad Lenz, and a Kuemper Catholic High School senior, will be attending Iowa State University to pursue an education in Agricultural Studies. She grew up living on the family farm until she was four and her dad passed away. Her dad, who was passionate about agriculture and farming, was intrigued by new farming technologies, which has also inspired Madeline to pursue her education in agriculture and follow her in father’s footsteps. 

Grace Tigges

Grace Tigges, daughter of Ryan and Trish Tigges of Carroll, and a Kuemper Catholic High School senior, will be attending Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny where she plans to study Agribusiness. She said Agriculture is an ever-changing field that has always sparked her interest. Tigges plans to explore the many professions in the agricultural field and continue to learn how her field of study will affect the local community and the global population. 


Hailey Vogl

Hailey Vogl, daughter of Chad and Tracy Vogl of Manning, and a Carroll High School senior, will be attending Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny to study Agricultural Business. Vogl, who was born and raised on a farm, said she got to experience the all-important world of agriculture. She wants to follow in her father’s footsteps and his fathers before him, by pursuing a career in Agriculture Business.
