Bryce Bowman and Dylan Wieland Earn Annual Ag Scholarship
The Carroll Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce two recipients of the Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship in the amount of $500 each.
Bryce Bowman
Bryce Bowman, son of Robert Bowman and Alice Bowman of Carroll, and a Carroll High School senior, will be attending Southeast Community College where he plans to pursue the John Deere Ag Tech Program. He gained an interest in farm machinery by tinkering with antique tractors on his grandparent’s farm and looks forward to the opportunity to pursue a career working on various types of agricultural machinery in the future.
Dylan Wieland
Dylan Wieland, son of Kevin and Jodi Wieland of Templeton, and a Kuemper Catholic High School senior, will be attending Iowa Lakes Community College to study Agricultural Production and Technology. Wieland, who loves watching the crops grow and harvest season, owns his own livestock on the family farm. He plans to follow his passion for agriculture and hopes his studies will allow him to bring back information to the family farm to improve production in the future.
